Qi’a Superflakes are made with sprouted grain and coconut or chia seeds. They are organic, gluten-free and are available in three different flavors: Honey Chia, Coconut Chia and Cocoa Coconut.

Each 1-cup serving contains 220 to 240 calories, 0 to 6.5 grams saturated fat (of 3 to 7 grams total) and 5 to 6 grams protein. Each is an excellent source of fiber with 6 to 7 grams per serving; the Honey Chia and Coconut Chia Superflakes are also an excellent source of iron with 30 to 35 percent of the daily recommended intake.

Kristine James, intern at Bite of the Best: Although I like the taste, the cereals are so dense that even after 5 minutes in milk they didn’t soften. I did notice that unlike other cereals, the extra fiber kept me full until lunch time.
