Vermilion will present a Secret Ingredient Dinner, a mysterious multi-dimensional event to celebrate Executive Chef Maneet Chauhan competing on Iron Chef America and being named one of the Culinary Institute of America’s (CIA) “Best Chefs in the World.”   Chef Chauhan is the youngest and, one of the few women graduates, to be recognized.

The Secret Ingredient Dinner will feature the identical five-course menu that Chef Chauhan and her team executed during her Iron Chef America battle against Iron Chef Morimoto, with Vermilion’s hallmark fusion of  Indian and Latin flavors. during the dinner, dinners can watch the show — course by course — with  live commentary by Chef Chauhan about the experience. During the evening, diners will also see the secret ingredient that was the foundation of the Chauhan / Morimoto bout put to work during Chef Chauhan’s interactive cooking demonstration.

To launch the evening, dinners will join Rohini Dey, Vermilion’s owner, in a toast to Chef Chauhan with an “herb & At Vermillion mezzanine diningspice” cocktail inspired by the secret ingredient. Those that correctly identify the the drink’s gastronomical mystery muse will be entitled to 50% off their next Vermilion meal.

At Vermilion’s Secret Ingredient Dinner will take place on Easter Sunday, April 4th (7:30 – 10 pm)  in Chicago and April 8 (7:00 to 9:30 p.m) in New York City. The cost is $60/person, in Chicago; $65 in New York.
