We met in Times Square to see Love Letters, by Soft-Firm, the winner of the 13th annual Love in Times Square Design Competition that was recently on display in Duffy Square. Reddymade curated and developed the exhibition that formed two interlocked hearts in consultation with worthless studios.

After viewing, we walked west to Tenth Avenue to Taboon for brunch

Taboon’s outdoor space was a tad too enclosed space for my dining partner, so we opted to only have one quick course with a glass of vino. We each ordered their Moroccan Shakshooka ($22), two eggs cooked in a fresh hearty tomato ragout with lamb sausage, garlic and a few hot peppers. I sopped up every drop of the sauce with the sesame breadstick that accompanied the dish.

I recommend any time of day. It’s one of my city favs!
