A return to L’Address as promised, this time for dinner before heading to see the Beatles Cover Band at the Palladium. That performance elicited a flood of memories from that era. We sang along, knowing most of the words.

At dinner, we started with two appetizers to share with the table. I’d recommend the mezze ($25) platter with beet hummus, tzatziki, spicy feta, fire-roasted Campania tomatoes and grilled naan sprinkled za’atar. Be sure to check the menu listing for what’s included, as the items on the mezze were different than on their website. So was the price.

Unless you request it well cooked, skip the mushroom grilled naan flatbread topped with truffle mushroom pâté and sliced mushrooms sprinkled with Asiago. Ours was more than a tad underdone.

For entrees, one friend tried the grilled Spanish octopus with forbidden black rice ($35) with harissa hummus sprinkled with bottarga. Another tried the four seared sea scallops ($42) with truffle cauliflower purée.

The tuna tartare ($29, for an appetizer portion) yellow tomatoes compote, avocado, saffron aioli and black bread toast is recommended. Hands-down the best of the selections was the Moroccan rubbed lamb chops ($42) with a yakitori glaze and wasabi-potatoes puree, that I split with a friend.

We washed down our food with a smooth 2018 Merlot, Cabernet Franc Château Clos Magne Figeac, Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux ($85).

If I returned, it would be for lunch.
