A friend who moved to Florida during the pandemic was in town. We met midtown at L’Adresse, an American Bistro serving seasonal fare located by Bryant Park. We settled in at an outside table as the weather was balmy.

As our attentive waiter placed my L’Addresse Old Fashion ($16) on the table, he also served us two thick slices of black bread and soft butter. So delicious that we figured what followed would be tasty. We were right.

In the mood for eggs, I ordered their shakshuka with the eggs baked in a spicy tomato sauce along with spinach and feta. Large slices of Italian bread accompanied the baked dish ($21). Delicious.

My friend tried their rich burrata, grilled peach and heirloom tomatoes ($25) with some basil pesto, a balsamic glaze and microgreens. In addition, we shared an order of roasted veggies  ($9) in a light pinenut currant dressing. Those veggies included snow peas, asparagus, bell peppers and fennel.

Walking home, I passed L’Address in NoMad and made a date to try that location the next time my friend came to town.

I do recommend a visit.
