The 2014 New Taste of the Upper West Side  begins in Theodore Roosevelt Park on Tuesday, May 27th (with a rain date on Thursday, May 29th) at 7 pm with a cocktail event under the stars to celebrate and raise funds for New York City’s Theodore Roosevelt Park ($150/person)

Travel Channel’s Adam Richman and  Food Network star and Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli (Butter Restaurant) will host Friday, May 30th’s Comfort Classic from 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm, at the Grand White Tent on Columbus Avenue between West 76th and 77th Streets. The duo will oversee 40 restaurants from the Upper West Side showcasing their comfort dishes and competing to win this year’s “Best Comfort Food Dish” award ($105 per person or 2 for $185).

The star-studded food fest continues with Best of the West on Saturday May 31st at Grand White Tent on Columbus Avenue between West 76th and 77th Streets from 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm.  Jill Martin, Emmy award-winning television personality and New York Knicks broadcaster will host evening honoring world-famous Daniel Boulud. The event will feature gourmet fare created by some of the Upper West Side’s most talented chefs and restaurants. (VIP – $225 per person 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm; general admission $135 per person or 2 for $250).
