Is nestle toll house fudgy brownies w. peanut butter filling on the peanut butter recall list?
Also what about Nestle Toll House Peanut Butter Cookie Dough in the tubs?

  2. Roz O'Hearn February 11, 2009 at 1:32 pm

Hi Bonnie–Hope all is well! I love the FAGE Greek yogurt as much as you do…
I see that your reader Melissa questioned whether our Nestle Toll House items are affected by the peanut butter recall. I’m happy to tell you that no Nestlé USA products have been affected or recalled as a result of this issue. Nestlé USA does not purchase any peanut butter, paste or other peanut products from either Peanut Corporation of America, the company that announced a nationwide recall of peanut butter, or King Nut Company.

FDA has posted a “widget” on their http://www.fda.gov site to help consumers sort through the long list of recalled products.

Stay well! Roz O’Hearn, Nestle in Solon, Ohio

Yesterday on June 18th, I baked chocolate chip cookies from a 40 oz tub of Nestle cookie dough. I ate some raw. The tub is numbered 9127 5753 4Ho4 and use date is 08 Sept 2009. Am I in danger? Thx, Jan

Jan, I’ve reached out to Nestle for an official response; stay tuned for that.

I checked the list of recalled products. Tubs are listed but only by UPC code. Call Nestle Consumer Services at 1-800-559-5025 to find out more or visit: http://www.verybestbaking.com/products/tollhouse/product-recall.aspx for the list.

If you cooked the dough, you should be fine as the problems are associated with eating UNCOOKED or raw cookie dough.

Thanks. The 40 oz tub is on the list and I did eat a couple of spoonfulls of raw dough!!! Is there anything I should be doing like calling my doctor?

  6. Bonnie Tandy Leblang June 19, 2009 at 5:37 pm

If you’re not experiencing any symptoms, I wouldn’t worry about it. But to ease your worry, you might want to touch base with your doctor or health care provider. And if you do have any of the symptoms listed (check out today’s TidBite for details) be sure to report that to state or local health authorities.
