There’s nothing like visiting the Met with two friends who studied Art History! Their knowledge brought to life the Tudors exhibit for me.

Afterward, we headed up to the fourth floor to the Met Dining room with incredible views of Central Park. We were seated with an unobstructed view of the obelisk that’s Cleopatra’s Needle.

The crips Joseph Drouhin Saint Veran 2020, Burgundy, France ($16) went well with the order of fettuccine with an abundance of freshly shaved white truffles, that day’s special ($70) that we shared as an appetizer. Deliciously satisfying.

Two of us split the crab cakes ($30.00) with spicy coleslaw and a green goddess dressing and their non-chopped “Chopped Salad” with some seasonal vegetables, lots of greens and a large piece of roasted chicken ($27). I recommend both.

Our other friend enjoyed the black sea bass ($35.00) over baby bok choy and charred cabbage purée drizzled with a mushroom scallion sauce. Also recommended.

I highly recommend a visit to the Met with lunch in the dining room!
