Who knew? I certainly didn’t. The Super Bowl’s main event is the game yet the NFL offers lots of pre- and post-parties and communications.

Our tailgate began when the gates opened at 11:30. That party included non-stop entertainment headlined by The Chainsmokers and more food than possible to consume — although we tried — before heading into the stadium for the pre-show and 3:30 kickoff.

These food photos are a smattering of what was offered including the cumin-spiced vegan taco, spicy tuna dip, chopped salad with tomatoes chickpeas and peperoncini, “cali” toast with cauliflower hummus and heirloom tomatoes; harvest grain kale salad with roasted butternut squash and farro; and my fav of the day, the ginger roasted pork Bánh mì with pickled vegetables and spicy aioli on a crunchy baguette.

By the time we headed into the stadium and up to our seats for the exciting game, we were well satiated.

After the game, we received a link to a fan photo (bottom one) where we could tag ourselves. Knowing we were right on the 50-yard line, I was able to work my way up the stands in the panoramic photo taken by drones and then hone in on our location. It was my little splash of green that made me a tad easier to find. That’s my son right next to me.

An incredible experience!
