It’s back!  New Haven Restaurant week is a sure-fire way to make everyone happy: Restaurants are filled to capacity and diners get an economical chance to sample a taste of the city. Once announced, the popular restaurant were filled almost immediately.

But there’s always cancelations — so do call ahead to see if you can get in. The celebration runs through April 24.

The week-long epicurean celebration began yesterday. It  features about 25 of New Haven’s restaurants, each serving prix fixe menus for lunch ($16.38 – the year New Haven was founded) and dinner ($29). Tax and gratuity not included.
