On National Pie Day, Sunday, January 23rd,  Rockland, ME — dubbed “Pie Town USA” by the Food Network when Bobby Flay visited for a pie throwdown — is planning their annual pie-a-thon from 1:00 – 5:00pm when the Historic Inns of Rockland are joined by town businesses and restaurants to welcome hungry pie eaters to the town for the 7th Annual Pies on Pies on Parade (1)-LimerockTarts-smallerParade Pie Tour.

The Inns of Rockland will offer tours of their facilities along with keepsake recipe collection and plenty of pie to sample. Move aside Mom’s apple pie, Rockland’s inns and restaurants will serve up everything from Shepherds Pie, Cornish Meat Pasties and gourmet Pizza Pies to sweet and savory Italian Galletes, seafood pies, and even some healthy pies served at the local spas.

Why go home pie-eyed at the end of the event?  The Historic Inns of Rockland have created a Pie Tour package to celebrate National Pie Day with a two-night package ($345 to $495 single or double occupancy) at any of the four Historic Inns, daily breakfast, event tickets, and lots more.

Tickets are $25 for adults; $10 for children ten and under, and are available from participating inns with proceeds benefiting the Area Interfaith Outreach Food Pantry. To order, call  877-762-4667. For more information, click here.
