Christopher Martin’s is a neighborhood restaurant that served local before local was hip! (At least according to lore!) I met some friends there for lunch recently.
One had the huge grilled pear salad with added salmon ($18.50), another the soup and half sandwich special ($9.50) and me the Cajun chicken sandwich with Cajun fries ($9.50).
The grilled chicken in my hearty sandwich had been dipped in Cajun spices and was served topped with bacon, cheddar cheese and lettuce all on a hard roll. The soup & sandwich special included a bowl of creamy clam chowder and that day’s special chicken sandwich topped with ham and cheese. Both of us who ordered sandwiches took home more than half as leftovers.
Tasty, plentiful and a bargain to boot!
