Check your egg cartons as the Associated Press estimates 228 million eggs are being Eggs in cartonrecalled.

The recalled eggs were sold under the following brands nationwide: Lucerne, Albertson, Mountain Dairy, Ralph’s, Boomsma’s, Sunshine, Hillandale, Trafficanda, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Lund, Dutch Farms and Kemps.

The recall covers in-shell eggs in cartons containing six to 18 eggs, packed between May 16 and Aug. 13,  marked with plant numbers P-1026, P-1413 and P-1946. The eggs should not be consumed. Return the to the store for  a refund.
