Casa Lever provides an elegant, sophisticated dining experience. I’d like to return once their under-construction gardens re-open as I hear they are spectacular.

I sipped their nicely balanced Dublino, a blend of Bushmills Irish Whiskey, blood orange vermouth and Mirto liqueur, before they served our amuse bouche of creamy gazpacho.

Glutton me always requests one of each of the homemade breads offered, loving a bite of each one, especially their crusts. My favorite is the rye. So worth the calories.

The attentive staff served their Parmigiana di Melanzane ($27.00) — baked tomato eggplant — in a copper vessel, hot from the oven. So hearty, it’s almost enough to be a meal itself.

The unusual Cappellacci di Baccalà ($29.00) caught my eye. These pillow-shaped portions of pasta are filled with baccalà and served in a fava bean purée with green peas garnished with saffron threads. I do recommend this unusually delicious pasta, but not in addition to the eggplant parm. It was almost too much good food.

When our waiter placed the wild Dover sole from the North Sea, I realized how full I was. They kindly packed it for me along with the garlicky broccolini. That sole became my next night’s dinner, reheated delicately in a preheated 275-degree oven for 15 minutes.

I did have room for a bite of their special dessert of almond sponge cake topped with raspberries, coconut mousse and prickly pear gelato.

Worth a visit.
