The Big Apple Barbecue Block Party is heading west!
Danny Meyer’s Union Square Events and Blue Smoke are joining forces with Little Nell hotel for the first Big Aspen Barbecue Block Party, taking place Saturday and Sunday, August 28 & 29, 2010. It will be an unforgettable weekend of mouthwatering barbecue, music, and festivities. 
The Big Aspen Barbecue Block Party will feature several pitmasters serving up their ‘cue (for $8 per plate) as well as live music, seminars, cooking demos, and book signings with the experts – all for free.
Pitmasters include:
• Chris Lilly- Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q (Decatur, AL)
• Drew Robinson- Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q (Birmingham, AL)
• Kenny Callaghan- Blue Smoke (New York, NY)
• Michael Rodriguez- Salt Lick BBQ (Driftwood, TX)
• Mike Mills- 17th Street Bar & Grill (Murphysboro, IL) and Memphis Championship Barbecue (Las Vegas, NV)
• Ryan Hardy- Montagna Restaurant at The Little Nell (Aspen, CO)
A limited number of Peak Passes, which include $100 value redeemable on food, beverage, and merchandise, are now on sale for $150 at www.bigaspenbbq.org.
Proceeds will benefit the Aspen Community Foundation’s Roaring Fork Youth Fund, which provides grants for local youth oriented non-profit organizations. For general inquiries, call 646-747-0584.
