Lure Fishbar, Soho, NYC

After a warehouse sale shopping spree up in the Bronx, we decided to meet at Lure Fishbar in Soho for happy hour. From Monday to Friday 5 to 7 pm, they offer $9-wines (a red, white and bubby of their selection) and a few food offerings.

Oyster lovers — like my friend — will relish Lure’s fresh mollusks. My friend slurped down a dozen ($2 each) with the accompanying cocktail & mignonette sauces. My food science degrees, kept me from joining in.

We did share happy hour spring rolls ($8/for 2) and the regular menu’s pile of tempura shrimp drizzled with some spicy sesame mayo ($21). Both were fine, but nothing outstanding to come back for.
