Each summer, we go to at least one blockbuster movie at an AMC theatre, as we like the luxury of sitting in their comfortable lounge recliners. This summer, we saw the fun Superman movie with David Corenswet (Clark Kent/Superman), Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), and Nicholas Hoult (Lex Luther) at the AMC Village 7. Pure fun.

After the movie, we walked North a block to Han Dynasty—serving Sichuan fare since 2013—for a bite and cocktails. I sampled their delicious smoky Old Fashioned ($16). One dining partner had their Shiso Lovely (light rum and pear with muddled shiso leaf finished with club soda) and the other a glass of Sauvignon Blanc ($14) from New Zealand.

We shared their spicy pork Dan Dan noodles ($12.99) with scallions, house-made chili oil, sesame paste and minced pork, cold sesame noodles ($11.99) mixed with chili oil and sesame paste, topped with sesame seeds and scallions, pan fried chicken dumplings ($11.25 for 6) with ginger soy sauce, scallion pancakes ($8.99) and pork Belly buns ($13.25 for two).

Hands-down, the best of the evening was the pea leaves with garlic ($19.95)!

A fun afternoon!
