IMG_7938From the moment we walked into Wolfgang Puck American Grille, we felt rushed by the service personal — sadly that continued throughout our meal.  Not pleasant at all.
Rushed service aside, the best part of the meal were the appetizers. I’d recommend both that I sampled. The Sweet Jersey Corn Soup ($12) is a mouthful of freshness — smooth creamy corn IMG_7940drizzled with basil oil, topped with roasted butter-poached Maine lobster.
The Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese Napoleon consisted of layers of beets and cheese topped with micro-greens, toasted hazelnuts, a citrus vinaigrette and drizzled with too little aged balsamic vinegar — wish they drizzled more ($16)!
Entrees weren’t as good and were quite pricey! For instance, Mesquite Grilled Steak for $54 or Grilled Colorado Lamb Chops $49. With those prices and being rushed through the meal, I’d suggest just a cocktail or bottle of wine and just an appetizer, then head to one of the many other places at the Borgata Hotel or its sister companion The Water Club, for a different course.
