Bite of the Best needs your help…
As our online foodie community continues to grow, we’ve kind of lost track of what we are and exactly what to call ourselves. Though BiteoftheBest.com started out as a website to showcase outstanding food products, it has developed into so much more!
Readers were excited by the food reviews, interactive postings and free contests… but they kept asking for more. As our readers asked, we’ve delivered, and entirely new sections have emerged. From the original FeaturedBites, we’ve expanded to include additional sections: TidBites (restaurants reviews, food news, festivals, recalls, cookbooks, etc.); Bite of the Rest (new products); Marketplace (coupons, freebies and more) and Shop (online retail shopping).
As we are soon to introduce our newest sections (Recipes and FoodForum) and rename two of the old (Marketplace now will be called Freebies, and Shop now will be the Marketplace ), we’ve decided that our site needs a slightly new identity. For years we have been discussing whether our tagline actually describes what we’re doing anyway: Bite of the Best: an interactive site featuring outstanding products we’ve tried and recommend. Though an accurate portrayal of how our website began and a description of our FeatureBites, this tagline seems a bit of an antiquated caption for what our website actually is.
But, what is BiteoftheBest.com?
Well, we’ve got reviews of outstanding products, lists of new products, showcases of reader suggestions, nationwide restaurant reviews, food news, contests, coupons, giveways, recipes, forums, gadgets, an online store and even more to come!
So, what is BiteoftheBest.com? We’re an online food Mecca, a foodie nexus, an informed “culinarination,” a true one-stop shop for all your “epicuriosities”…. A site without a proper tagline!
That’s why we’ve decided to turn that request over to you, our readers. As you receive this, we are beginning our tagline contest because we want — actually need — your feedback.
To entice you to put on your creative-thinking cap, we’re offering a chance to win A KitchenAid Artisan® Series Stand Mixer (model KSM150PSER) valued at $349.99. (KITCHENAID and the mixer shape are registered trademarks of KitchenAid, U.S.A)
This KitchenAid Artisan® Series Stand Mixer has a 325-watt motor, 5-quart stainless steel bowl with ergonomic handle, a pouring shield and a tilt-back mixer-head design that provides easy access to bowl and beaters. For additional information on this mixer, click here.
Our current tagline is no longer correct, as we’re much more. We’d like (to try at least) to have a single sentence (15 words) that sums up what we are, who we are, what we do. We know what Bite of the Best means to us, but we want to know what phrase, word, rhyme, haiku or whatever encompasses BiteoftheBest.com to you.

1. No purchase necessary. Enter as often as you like. To enter, coin a slogan of 15 words or less summarizing Bite of the Best. All entries must be received by midnight, Jan. 22, 2010 NOW FEB 12, 2010.. All entries become the property of BiteoftheBest.com. Not responsible for lost, late, misdirected or otherwise undeliverable mail or for the return of any entry or its condition.
2. Grand prize to be awarded is The KitchenAid Artisan® Series Stand Mixer (KSM150PSER). In the event that more than one person has submitted the winning slogan, a random drawing of those entries will determine the prize winner. Decision of the judges is final. Winner will be announced on www.BiteoftheBest.com by Feb. 15, 2010. Now March 8, 2010 .
3. Winner authorizes the use of winner’s name, photograph or other likeness, biographical information, statements about the contest or the sponsor and the contest entry without compensation for purposes of advertising, promotion and merchandising, and grants all rights in the entry to BiteoftheBest.com, including the right to edit and/or to copyright it. The declaration must be returned within 14 days of date of notification or an alternate winner will be selected. Taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Thank you for the chicken referral. Hope I can find it. Really was getting ill off the regular chicken and pretty much gave up on buying it anymore. I will look for this and I hope they have it! (New England region) in case you know of anyplace in Massachusettes that sells it.
