The Lobster Pot restaurant is a Provincetown tradition, one that I’ve visited each time I’ve been to that tip of Cape Cod. IMG_8075 If you go and there’s a wait, insiders told me to just say you’re meeting someone upstairs at the bar, as it’s much easier to get a table there!

This time we started with Shawn’s Famous Special Bloody Mary ($9) a peppercorn, lemon peel and pepperocini-infused vodka combined with a homemade bloody Mary mix served in a tall glass dipped in a peppery blend of spices. A must have.

Between the four of us, we sampled a cup of Portuguese Soup ($5), their version of a hearty kale, potato, kidney bean, and linguica; their award-winning Tim’s Clam Chowder ($5), a creamy New England award-winning soup; delicious Fried Calamari ($9); a half-order of sauteed cod with veggies ($11); native fried cod  with French fries ($23); and sauteed soft shell crab ($10).IMG_8080 I’d recommend each of those mentioned items, which were served by Nicole, our attentive waitress, who couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful!
