After discovering over an hour wait for the rooftop bar at Salvation Taco, we hit the road looking for another place for an alfresco drink. I opened our restaurant map as it also shows rooftop bars around town and noticed a cluster of them close by.

We headed toward the Empire State building where there are many each with a view when we noticed a sign for Rose Hill that invited us in.

Service at this rooftop was is oh, so gracious, with each staff member oozing with hospitality. We started with one of their special cocktails after seeing the creamsicle-orange colored drink served nearby. The Midsummer Night’s Dream ($14) consisted of Don Papa Rum (which we learned later was having an event there that evening) combined with cantaloupe, and fresh mint.

As looking over the limited menu, we found only a few options to order as the majority of the items consisted of raw fish or meat, which I don’t eat because of my food science background. Bah humbug, I know!

We ended up with the peach & goat cheese flatbread ($14), which was tasty but left us hungry. We followed that by the cheese board with three varieties, nuts, fruit and bread ($18 for 3).  That’s what I would recommend.
