This fall’s New Haven Restaurant Week raised over $13,000 in donations for 2011 Fall NHRW LogoConnecticut Food Bank.

With over $8,000 in donations from diners along with an initial donation of $5,000 from Citizens Bank, New Haven Restaurant Week was able to feed over 13,000 Connecticut residents for an entire day.

With the dollars raised, Connecticut Food Bank can purchase five times the amount of food at wholesale value, so every dollar donated equals $5 worth of food at wholesale value.  These significant donations are very impactful, especially during the holiday season.
