“How do you make yummy “homemade” chocolate-peanut-butter-oatmeal cookies with less than three minutes of effort?” writes foodie Maureen Clancy on her blog about matters of taste.

She read our review of Dark Chocolate Dreams and began dreaming of ways to use this luscious product.

Maureen is the former food editor and restaurant critic  for the San Diego Union and the San Diego Union-Tribune — and a dear friend of mine. Over the years we’ve compared notes on raising our sons. (We each have two about the same age!) And now with our nests empty and the media world changing, we’ve both begun blogs – and are comparing notes on that, too.

On her blog, Maureen described how she made those cookies. She began using refrigerated cookie dough, let them cool for 10 minutes, then spread each with a tablespoon of Dreams. She also suggested swirling the chocolate peanut butter into softened frozen yogurt, baking it into banana bread and bread pudding, and plopping on (and in between) a stack of hot pancakes.

Do check out her blog www.MaureenClancy.com, it’s her musings about memorable meals and wines, food personalities and her culinary adventures.
