Kahala Resort’s Tribute to Julia Child
July 20, 2012The Kahala Hotel & Resort will host a gourmet five-course dinner on August 12 benefiting the James Beard Foundation 
featuring regional Hawaii chefs including the hotel’s own Executive Chef Wayne Hirabayashi, and Pastry Chef Michael Moorhouse.
Guest chefs include rising culinary stars like Sheraton Waikiki’s Chef Colin Hazama; Master Sommelier Patrick Okubo from Young’s Market Company; Chef Ryan Loo of W Seattle; and Kapiolani City College Culinary Arts Program instructor Chef Warren Uchida. The recipes will showcase the best of Hawaii’s farm-to-table homegrown ingredients and French Cuisine that would cause the Grande Dame to exclaim Bon Appétit!
The festival starts at 6 pm for Epitome Members & VIP Preview guests, and is open to all guests from 7-10 pm. Adult tickets are $100 in advance, $125 at the door, $150 for VIP Preview entry. To reserve a ticket call (808) 739-8760; or E-mail restaurants@kahalaresort.com
