I won a tropical fruit basket and what a treat to receive in winter! My local grocery store is out of most of these items and fruit is my passion. Just to win an item was such a nice boost and something so nice was amazing. Thank you.

I'm with Eric. Those things that we save for Christmas, that one day, should some how be spread out or experienced through out the year. You can call me a 'Scrooge' these days too. But I do not like to feel the pressure or the choices of gifts to give. And @ this point in my life, myself and people I know have a house of clutter and not meaningful experiences and relationships. Go for the sharing of things you love. For those you love, go beyond the yearly holiday season. We need this Christmas feeling more often and would be the better for it.

Mildred, Thanks for your comment -- but this isn't the right place to contact Carolyn and me. This is my blog -- BiteoftheBest.com, not Supermarket Sampler. Thanks anyway for your comment. We (as Supermarket Sampler) will contact you separately about your concerns.

Dear Bonnie and Carolyn,
In reading your article in the Daily Gazette (Schenectady, NY) Wed. Dec. 5th, I was concerned to see that you are featuring another waste producing product in the Mt. Olive Sweet Petites. All these individually wrapped so-called convenience products are simply adding to the waste stream and using more raw materials than necessary. It is far better to use re-usable containers as I've been doing for many years for my sandwiches and other things that I put in a packed lunch. Individual portions of pudding, jello, cheese and crackers, etc. while convenient, are simply adding to the waste stream and pollution of the environment. I hope that you will address this issue in future articles and not promote things such as this.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Mildred Gittinger
