I have used craisons for baking for a number of years and would like a coupon for this product
Dawn, thanks for your comment. Bite of the Best recommends products; we also give registered users the opportunity to “take a chance” to win them. Craisins had offered a free sample through their site to the Bite of the Best community, but no longer. But you’ll be happy to know that we are in conversations with them to do so again since — as you can see — this is currently a DONE DEAL (a term we use on Bite of the Best to indicate the offer is no longer available)! Stay tuned.

Looking for a basic cranberry sauce made with sweetened dried cranberries! Only can find recipes using fresh or frozen cranberries.

CRANBERRY APPLE CHUTNEY
INGREDIENTS:
2/3 cup vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups peeled, diced apple
1/3 cup diced onion
1/4 teaspoon each: cinnamon, ginger, allspice
Dash ground cloves
1 6-ounce package Ocean Spray® Craisins® Original Sweetened Dried Cranberries
DIRECTIONS:
Combine vinegar and sugar in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Add apple and onion; return to a boil. Add remaining ingredients.
Reduce heat to low. Cook for 25 minutes or until apples are tender, stirring occasionally. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Makes 1 3/4 cups.

I make ridiculously EASY Cranberry sauce every year.
I buy a CAN of Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce and a bag of Craisins.
Open the can of Sauce into a small saucepan and warm on medium-low heat. Add the entire bag of Craisins (minus the couple of handfuls you couldn’t resist while getting the other stuff together). Stir together and spoon into your serving dish. VIOLA! It’s deLISH!!! …and appears so homemade….lol
I need a sugar-free Craisin, and I need it NOW!!!
This would be the PERFECT munchie for diabetics AND dieters!
I would like to see it sweetened with Splenda, or perhaps with stevia.
I found unsweetened dried cranberries online, but the cheapest price was $60.

I tasted it for the first time 8/26/09 & it shocked me how delicious they really are!
I have been on a cranberry kick but I can not eat sugar. I have been buying them frozen and thawing and cutting them and adding splenda to use in salads but I would really love dried cranberries sweetened with splenda!!!
