I bought the bags and they are the best thing I have ever used, to save food. I bought a head of lettuce, fresh celery and a bag of baby carrots 2 weeks before I went to Florida and I immdiately put them in the green bags. We ate a bit of each before we left……..and when we got back, 2 weeks later, they were as fresh and crispy as the day I bought them. That means 4 weeks, they were in the bag. I bought a few boxes for my sisters and friends and they love them too. Thanks for a great product!

I bought the bags to try and extend the life of bananas. They did exactly what they said they would do, however, it made the bananas taste extremely banana-oily…totally inedible (to me).

the key to having the bags work…is refrideration! duh oh course if you leave fruit or vegetables out on the counter they will spoil faster than fruit placed in the bags and then refriderated. If you see on her homepage the bags are in the refridgerator. Anyway I really like the bags.

Try putting a nectarine in these green bags; they liquidate. It is disgusting and gross. Major yuck. I really wanted to prevent waste myself. Not.

To prevent waste these bags are useful.the good feature of this is that these are washable and reusable..thanks for such a information!

While I think the green bags really help some things last longer but am not positive, I have found one really amazing success. I have found that I can refrigerate half an avocado in a bag for many days without it darkening at all. In the past I have tried lemon juice and close wrapping but still the avocados tend to darken right away. I am amazed that green bags are the perfect solution.

These bags work great. You just have to know what to use them for. Bananas are not it! For greens and maybe other veggies, they are indispensable. I first encounteered a different type of green bag in Whole Foods, but then they didn’t carry them anymore. I got them by mail for a while. Then I found these at BB&B. But now am havingn trouble finding them again. I think all produce sections should carry them. BTW, I reuse them all the time–just wash and let dry. They still work for a long time.
