David Glass Bittersweet Rocky Road Torte
July 29, 2008Sue Honeyman suggest David Glass Bittersweet Rocky Road Torte, “better slightly warm.”
Unfortunately, she adds, it’s not available at retail. She purchased it at Restaurant Depot, a Cash and Carry Foodservice Wholesaler.

OK, I’ll forgive y’all (just barely) for touting something not generally available, but couldn’t somebody at least say where this “Restaurant Depot” is located? (Or is it a national chain that few of us have happened to heard of?).
thanks
Restaurant Depot is a food and equipment membership organization for food service and nonprofits that doesn’t charge a membership fee. I believe it is nationwide, though its web site, http://www.restaurantdepot.com, is down at the moment. To avoid again disappointing DaddyD, though, I called the Orange, CT. store and was told it has stores in Brooklyn, Mt. Vernon, Maspeth, Melville and Bohemia New York and in South Hackensack, Secaucus and Pinebrook, New Jersey — among others. Also, the David Glass factory is in Bloomfield, CT.
Sounds delicious I plan to get one.
