Journey Bars are a new and different addition to the Nutrition Bar category. Instead of the typical sweet-flavored bars, Journey Bar flavors are savory, specifically, Parmesan Romano and Coconut Curry. Journey Bars are made from a blend of organic whole grains, almonds, and a few other all-natural ingredients.

Nature Valley granola crispy squares are a “thinner” version of the traditional granola bar. Each two-square package contains 80 to 90 calories, 6 grams sugar and 4.5 grams total fat (of which 1.5 grams is saturated). Hershey’s Bliss Chocolate Bars are milk chocolate, and dark chocolate bars with melt away centers. Both bars contain 12 grams total fat of which 7 to 8 grams are saturated. The milk also contains 20 calories, 35 milligrams sodium and 2 grams more sugar than the dark, with 2 grams less fiber. The Hershey’s Bliss chocolate bars retail for $0.99 cents per 1.3-oz bar.

Green & Black’s new Peanut bar blends our premium 37% milk chocolate with caramelized peanuts and a hint of sea salt. Green’s & Black’s Peanut bar (3.5 oz) will be available at major retailers nationwide starting Winter 2009. The new Peanut bar will retail for $3.49.

Little Debbie debuts its first snack cake with crème filling inserted in the center. This is the first time in its 50-year history that Little Debbie has adapted it’s recipe to include a crème filling.
